A Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience of providing services to children and adults, Pia is certified in New York and Massachusetts. She holds a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University (2001) as well as a Masters degree in Creative Writing/Poetry from Johns Hopkins University (1998). Pia began her career in the early 2000s in New York, before relocating to Massachusetts, and then returning to the New York area. Most recently, she has supported elementary school, middle school, and high school students with reading, writing, spelling, and executive functioning skills. For students with reading and spelling needs, she uses a multi-sensory, evidence-based, structured approach, and designs individualized programs using Orton-Gillingham principles. Pia specializes in providing therapeutic services for a wide range of communication needs, including:

In the same vein, she believes that communication with parents is a crucial part of supporting children with speech and language needs. Pia has extensive experience working with parents to support their children’s progress, including helping them to navigate the 504 and IEP processes. When she is not working, Pia enjoys traveling, spending time with her adult children, and being outdoors. She resides in New Jersey
